Concluding the year with a collection of photos. Everyone of you amazing people who have stuck with me through thick & thin, through the multiple changes in life I underwent, I can't thank you enough. This year I won't make any new-year-resolutions or promises to anyone, not even myself. This year I thank all of you who have made my life better (there is no BETTER word for this) in a myriad of ways you never knew-

Nat, Roy & Isabel- for always being there, as more of my best friends than seniors. For the perpetual greatness you flush into my band life. You guys mean so much to me. BFFs 4 lyf yeaaaaaaaahh! (Nat- for your willingness to let the worst junior one could have, ever, (me) in, for being mildly nonsensical with me and for always being such a (scented) sunshine out of your hectic band life. Roy- for always being so selfless, I'm eternally grateful. Isabel- for being true to your bimbotic self, for always being so fun. You'll make it through!!) Cheryl- for always being the listener, for always being there to hang out, for being the band junior I'm closest to. For always tolerating my crap. For all the nonsense that made my schl life bearable. For tolerating my loud, contagious & occasionally obnoxious laughter. 6/1 07'- for making me feel like I never made it out of primary school, lol. SWO- for letting me know that I suck on the clarinet.......... The family- for always being there even though I hate how you guys work, lol. Everyone else, for being the friend, the acquaintance, the cat, for any of your glorious contributions to my 2011 that didn't make it on this list because they were probably too awesome.

Myself- for changing. For making so many decisions, regardless of whether they were correct or incorrect, just so you could stay true to who you are. There is no other person I'd rather be than you.

Sorry guys but my photography, blogging, (and now) videography has hit one of those all-time low states once again. I haven't been shooting much, photoshop's down, I am UNABLE to convert my video files and therefore unable to edit all the vlog footage. Have been dying to post pictures but I refuse to upload the poorly edited ones I have on photoscape. This sucks I know.

So schl has been mtfkg ridiculous the past week, but yesterday(friday) was possibly the most eventful day this year. Interclass was great & I don't know about the rest but I could feel the class spirit, back, momentarily. We screamed & shouted our balls off cheering for everyone & we did great, the girls won every match & the guys were overall 2nd in their group. So now I hope we'd do well next week & somehow emerge victorious lol. I love 4C. I didn't bring my cam out so.. no photos.

I should write more, here, about my life, Y/N? I usually dump pictures with minimal texts in this space.. I bet it's boring you guys out.. Suggestions on what to blog? :-)

I'm FINALLY done with the sydney pixels woohoo. It was one of the most ~amazing~ experiences & I'm still missing the time we were there.. Good things never last. Ok here are some random shots from the past week.

Sydney (3)!!!

We started our day with a historical walk @ The Rocks District!

Hahaha we were so tempted to go "bom bom bom, got any grapes???" but the lemonade seller wasn't at the lemonade stand...

This looked & smelled very yummy!!

Lunch @ Pancakes on The Rocks! We had steak, & the pancakes which were about the BEST we've ever tasted! The ribeyes weren't very good though, but mine was fine. The portion was humongous & satisfied my bottomless gut :-) Cheryl had like 1/4 of hers & the rest was wasted.

The Clarinets' lunch bill.. Costed a bomb as usual hahahahaha

We saw some sky art! This plane was writing someth in the sky with some smoke/exhaust (?), we didn't get to see what it wrote though

& then we had a rehearsal @ a cathedral, it was St Andrew's Cathedral if I'm not wrong. The place was beautiful, but we had to rehearse without percussion instruments..

The pipe organ! Everyth was so beautiful :-)

& then we left for shopping.. Which wasn't very productive in my case because there was almost nothing for guys @ the mall we went to.

Dinner @ Rossini's, which was poor. I thought the fish was stale! The fishiness was disgusting & the portions were tiny -_- Owell.

K so I decided to give schl a miss today b/c I woke up with a headache & the fatigue was overwhelming. Now I shall attempt work..... OH don't forget to tag/formspring me please, this space is so dead.. I still can't decide whether to sell the prints or not :<

This was one of the shortest days we had. We went for the exchange at Epping Boys High School in the morning & we had a lunch reception there. It was fun b/c we got to rehearse for the first time in Sydney, in the weather which was freezing compared to Singapore's. & because it was cold our playing was FLAT as hell throughout it got me so pissed.. But we got used to it in the end. The kids there were friendly. We went shopping aft tht!

Dinner @ this restaurant which I forgot the name.. The servings were, as usual, HUGE

We took a (torturous) 6/7hr flight during which we spammed movies lolol & arrived in SYDNEY :-)

Our first stop was Bondi Beach

& we had lunch at a cafe thr, food was slightly abv average

We won Champion @ the Australian International Music Festival 2011 when we were there in Sydney btw! & we were Command Band which otherwise means tht we were the best in the Secondary Category, where we competed with High School & College bands :-) Too bad we couldn't stay 2 days more, if not we could've performed at the Sydney Opera House as the model band :(

This is what schl does to you. I got so overwhelmed by the workload (blame myself for planning a todo list) I had the urge to edit pictures, & post them up. So here they are, this batch is from the study date we had last Wednesday when we managed to get a day off because we landed @ 000hrs the previous night. Visited my favourite Starbucks over @ Siglap & then headed down to No Signboard, geylang for chilli crab ^^ It was fkg delicious but the bill was *___*

Isabel(@IsseyBaby)'s 17th Birthday Dinner @ Cafebiz, Traders Hotel

It was a crab frenzy on my part hahaha. & we cleared all their cold mussels. Natalie was traumatised by how much we could eat. She had some broth as soup which was extremely salty. Food was pretty average but had a great time thr nvtheless, buffet is my lyf ^^

RHYTHM XXV

This post is very late but I really have to thank everyone who came down to support us on tht day. We expected the hall to be less than 1/2 full initially but it was 2/3 or 3/4 full in the end.. This is possibly the worst response we have received in a decade or someth. But nvtheless I would like to specially appreciate my family & NCO friends for coming down to support me hahaha. It was a good concert I hope :-) My last Rhythm as a JH member.. Time really flies because I can still rmb the time when I was Sec 2 when I had the chance to take part in my first Rhythm. & I still rmb going around frantically with my mom at the last minute to get my concert attire. Although I can't really remember my experience on stage but I will definitely remember how i screwed up the tiny little solos for 2nd Clarinet in Carmen Suite -_- I also remember how chingwoon kept telling me to play soft when I was in 1st for Saga Maligna haha. & now I'm getting so many solos from time to time I really feel like I have grown a lot in band. It's been 4 years & I have to confess I actually spent about half a year hating band when I was in year 1 or 2 b/c the SL kept scolding me & I was too ignorant to know that I was playing rubbish.. But don't be mistaken because I love band so much now I think it will be a part of my life forever. To my jnrs, if you guys are reading this don't hate band like I did & don't ever give up practising. Work on your basics now & I swear all your hardwork is going to be worthwhile.. K this post is getting lengthy & I'm sure you have seen some photos above which told you pretty much nothing lol but it's not like words can describe the experience anw. & with my lousyass writing I doubt anyone would be able to get what I'm driving at. For now I can't wait for Sojourn.. :-)

I miss New Zealand... & I hate schl.
So I was browsing through the NZ photo albums & randomly decided to post a few. I hope my family will somehow decide to migrate over to NZ. Anw Good Friday was spent with the NCO usuals again. I didn't snap anything so.. no pixels this weekend.
Rhythm is coming in 36 days & we're not prepared at all. But I do wish we could put up someth that would be jaw-dropping, eye-popping, head-turning & body-shocking.

DUNMAN HIGH SCHOOL SYMPHONIC BAND

IS A GOLD BAND!!!

We finally got the Gold back after 2 rounds of SYF living as a Silver band. I would like to thank everyone who supported me the SYF group. Most of all, my clarinet Seniors! Thank you all for the surprise early in the morning on the day itself. It gave us a huge boost in confidence and determination to give our best!!!

I expected a lot more.. Nobody knows how disappointed I am, & no one will understand how disappointed my Clarinet section is. We worked so hard. To my clarinets, you guys honestly deserve more. All of you will be the only ones who are worth my tears, ever. I'm glad we sat in the bandroom together as a section and poured everything out after everyone left. I should've given all of you a hug each just now.. I'm so proud of every single one of you. Regardless of this award you guys are the best clarinetists in my heart. The award didn't reflect your efforts well enough but at least your section leader appreciates all that you have put in to this. Let's move on as a section & work towards the next SYF, with better music, & most importantly a stronger bond. The carpets that we cried buckets on will forever be stained with the tears that will give limitless strength under our soles. I truly & genuinely love all of you with all my heart :-)

Ok hi everyone, I'm blogging from my phone now. School today was crappy but at the same time fun I guess. Tan Bee Kee was being so extremely hilarious and I think she made my day. There weren't proper lessons today other than Lit during which we went thru a bit of Romeo & Juliet. Anw I think this is kinda old but I still hope my Chinese teacher won't be the same as last year's. But thr's like a 90% chance tht it will be tht woman so I guess I should give up. Screw this shit, it's totally gna ruin my second day at school. At least there's going to be an hour of laughter and joy with Tan BK. But wth.......... School ends at 4.45pm btw. I was quite angsty today and I think I should control myself tmr. Sorry for the absence of pictures, I don't think I'm going to shoot anything till Friday. And someone please remind me to charge my camera battery, thnks :) I can't wait for Clarinets Chalet!!!!!

(Happy New Year)

2011 is finally here & I'm not looking forward to it at all. Now it just feels like I've wasted and slacked 2010 away and that sucks. I haven't accomplished anything except maybe band. Other than that everything is just incomplete, even my life now. There are so many things I want to turn away from and not care about but I definitely can't, so.. whatever. I'll find a way out from this mess I'm in. Anw here are some pictures from Sojourn III on the 30th & some overdue pictures from way before :-)

I must say it wasn't a good concert at all & it could've been a whole lot better. But it ended off in a good note. I love my seniors & Lynn's stories. Speaking of the clarinets, sometimes my section just makes everything feel better. I know all of you stalk this space here so I have to confess tht I love every single one of you with all my heart. Jnrs: All of you have improved so much ever since the school break. When I heard you guys after I came back from the NCO Camp I was so surprised at the improvements all of you had made. And I was greeted with an even bigger surprise when I returned from NZ... I really hope all of you will continue to work hard and I'm extremely sure we'll be on our way to clinching that gwh up there :) Snrs: Thnks for being there for all of us and for being such great friends. If all of you weren't here then I don't think our part suppers would ever exist.. Being bonded as a section is really impt & I promise to keep that bond going :-) I can't believe I'm saying all of this lol.

So I'm definitely taking a wrong approach to 2011 by having nearly NONE of my holiday homework completed. Times like these I srsly hate school -_- But I have only myself to blame. Maybe that can be one of my New Year Resolutions- Stop blaming everything and everyone else for my own mistakes. Lol k tht was nonsense, I have yet to come up with anything yet. I'd probably just get on with the year w/o any NYRs since I never fulfil any of them..........

An accident happened a week before so we were unable to go up close to touch the ice.
Ok the road to the spot where i got this picture was treacherous btw, 10degrees celcius and i was in a tshirt & a hoodie, and we had to trudge along this rocky road to get thr...

This makes me sick but it's a good picture... frozen cobwebs w h2o crystals..............

Aft tht we went to this place which we were supposed to watch some Glassblowing performance but we only got to admire the $1000+ glass bowls in the shop in the end -__- So eventually we decided to go shopping @ the supermart thr hohoho. We didn't get much tho, we thought we got alot but.. No. The chocolates/candies/snacks etc were all so cheap. Sian
